I think it hinges on whether you have hope or not. I have hope > I have babies.
Having babies is also different from RAISING CHILDREN!
I have hope which means I frame difficulties as challenges rather than threats.

Not everyone has to have biological children. Some people biologically can’t. One can still find meaning & purpose without creating biological life. Adoption is virtuous as well. The world is not black & white.
