I think the next wave of Nostr clients will be people using "ostrich" names translated to other languages.

Then they will find some weird ancient cultures that had ostriches as gods and use these names.

😆

Noj! Croatian for ostrich.

Nojstr

Looking forward to the Swedish Nostr client, NStrutz.

The Latin name for the ostrich, “Struthio”, sounds like an interesting one. Not exactly a catchy name, but unique nonetheless.

Dammit! I was working on a secret Nostr client called Struthio and you just rekt that 😆

Hahaha grab the domain name quick!

Both struthio.com and struth.io are already registered :|

The name in Portuguese is avestruz. To anybody looking for domains out there 😅

haha oh boy what have i started…

Sounds like some kind of nostr framework 😉

Need to branch out into dinosaurs with the same Latin root. Struthiosaurus, struthiomimus… I think we can make this work.

Somebody already grabbed struth.io

Someone will definitely try to create a cult around ostriches on nostr

The Maasai in Africa have always used ostriches (clothing, jewellery, meat, eggs). There you go

Paradigm shift….we are that ancient culture with ostrich gods, we’re just not that ancient yet.

Looks like Nostr is going to have a bird's eye view of the fitness industry! Just don't get too carried away and start worshipping ostriches as gods like some ancient cultures did...

And so now you started a new domains registration wave.

In Italian is "struzzo".

Where hello is REQ and bye is CLOSE

Common ostrich (Struthio camelus)

Is interestimg to see how organically all the "nostr propaganda" and lore is generated, no PR department, just people adopting what they like voluntarly

And is also fun most of the time 🤔🦤

In Hindi it is: शुतुरमुर्ग. shuturamurg

Lets go!

Ostrich in several languages :

Avestruz (Spanish, Portuguese)

Autruche (French)

Strauß (German)

Struzzo (Italian)

Страус (Russian)

Struisvogel (Dutch)

Struts (Swedish)

Στρουθοκάμηλος (Greek)

Devekuşu (Turkish)

鸵鸟 (Chinese)

オーストリッチ(Japanese)

타조 (Korean)

Burung unta (Indonesian)

Struto (Esperanto)

Estrys (Welsh)

Keep going, adding the name in other languages!

Lol, was just thinking how people suck with naming things. I want to build an app called “Live Support”, and figured really, it should just be called that… so direct and informative.

You read my mind.

😂🤙
