I'm thinking we're going to need a nickname soon for Vancity. There are about 40 merchants now accepting bitcoin payments.

The Vancouver bitcoin community is strong and growing quickly. I'm thinking we should hold a monthly online virtual hangout where we share ideas, tips, hits and misses with all the other builders in Central America, USA and Canada (time zones considered). As Fall approaches, we can roll up our sleeves, support one another and take merchant adoption to the next level.

Maybe a bounty for whichever region onboards and sustains the most merchants. I'm liking Vancity's chances but would never bet against the Farmer's Market in Uvita, El Zonte or the Golden zone of Panajachel.
