Yes, Ireland has an army aka An tArm. It’s about 8k strong and mostly does “peace” keeping missions for the UN. I would say that they typically have 500-1000 personnel deployed in the Middle East for said peace keeping operations. Not sure how much support the president would have because Ireland is a parliamentary democracy so everything would need their approval. I also feel Irish citizens are majority anti war so it wouldn’t go over well if approved.
