There’s a reason I’ve never promoted BeefInitiative. Always had a funny feeling about them. They were super vague and had no fundamental solutions to real problems that farmers face. Just all fluff and Bitcoin/beef buzzwords
What a shocker. The same initiative that had zero answers in Nashville 2024 for onboarding farmers and ranchers to selling products online for Bitcoin is looking into potentially scamming its supporters.
They can kick rocks.

It seemed like a great movement. I did onboard some farmers to bitcoin, but I’d give more credit to tools like oshi and simple to use wallets like muun, blue, Zeus, etc
And to be fair, some of the guys i onboarded were already into bitcoin, just needed help with Shopify configs
In all this time, I have yet to see anyone actually show the real tangible value Beef Initiative has provided them in a real world scenario.
Have only seen the people that run it make rounds on podcasts and conferences saying the same thing 100 different ways
The value I got was in meeting people doing the real work (farming and ranching). but you are right, for the most part those people did not benefit past a little bit of marketing
The best grifts associate with real truths - getting to know where your food comes from/supporting local/the issues with multinational consolidation etc.
I was naive 🤷♂️
