When we're out for forage the goats naturally follow us around, since they seem to think of us as herd members. They respond to whistles and calls, and carrying a bag of treats always helps to get their attention.

We can't really control where they go, but can influence them by walking in a certain direction. Almost always they'll follow.

Sounds great, I know goats are very loved and valued animals but also notorious for escaping and eating things they aren't supposed to.

I guess you don't have a lot of small trees around, recently planted.

I have friends that have goats in Panama and make soap from the milk.
