I got roasted for saying this even though I was literally just providing perfectly polite and civil user feedback on a public beta. I don't get why everyone was whipped up into a frenzy over feedback on a beta that allows users to change the UX of other users without consent. Like yeah of course people won't like that. Change the user's UX as much as you want, the more options the better, but no reason someone else's setting should change mine.

They forget this is not for developers or a niche group, it's for everyone, for users of the larger internet, including people who don't want a bitcoin wallet let's say. And likes are part of the larger internet culture.
It's just dumb and fuckin up the vibe for no reason.
People allover internet already know likes are "meaningless" nonetheless it's an easy form of communication. And they like it!
