WoI 🤝

Funny real world opposite example:

I appointed an estate agent to find me a tenant. They found one, so I needed to pay them. They needed to generate an invoice so I awaited this to obtain their bank details to transfer the money.

The accounts lady generating the invoice phoned me and asked for my bank account details. I explained they don’t need my details, I need theirs as I am paying them. She replied that they needed my bank details for AML purposes and if I don’t provide them, she cannot produce the invoice.

I replied, “so I guess that concludes our business then?”

At first she didn’t understand, so I repeated the statement.

I think they understand now.

I'm curious how this plays out legally.

As in do you unknowingly agree to give any AML details the other party would need from the moment you decide to do business with them?

They waived their fee in the end, so I bought them 2 packets of biscuits and a copy of my Bitcoin book when I went to collect the key.

I'm not sure how they could have gone in a legal route, I would have simply taken cash to their office. I have no dispute with paying the bill and would now if they provided their bank details.

Good morning friend, pura vida

Blessings to you and your loved ones.

Enjoy your Thursday.

Going back to your EX is like having a shower and putting dirty underwear back on.

Enjoy your day.
