I will definitely keep this in mind! Good for the time being but who knows lol

I’m might take you up on your offer.

Do you want to write up something to explain it? It would be useful for the #Nodestrich community. We’ve had to solve these kinds of problems before.

chantools ftw. Just holler if you have any weird cases. We’ve seen it all

Purge fee was 15 s/b. I attempted to open a channel for 9 s/b.

Lnd showed it as pending to open but transaction was not present in my local mempool nor in public mempool.

Error in local bitcoin core that transaction fee was below purge fee.

After 3 months the channel opening expiry time was showing a negative value suggesting it would never open.

I couldn't identify utxo associated with the channel opening.

I ended up abandoning the channel 😱 not sure what happened to the sats... Hoping I didn't lose them.

Open tx has to confirm within two weeks or it’s invalid.

Abandonchan was prob fine as long as it wasn’t on block explorers. If you want to be extra safe spend the original funding output

Oh and you didn’t lose the sats. After abandonchan they should be reflected in your balance accurately

What is the cause? You couldn’t move sats onchain from lnd?

Dead node with no channel backup

I see, so no static Chanel back up is the issue!

I have sats stuck in a CLN node and in an Eclair node. Can you help?

Nope you're on your own, have you tried reading the source code for both? Probably answers in there πŸ‘¨β€πŸ’»πŸ˜Ž

you the man

You know umbrel? Sats are stuck in an β€œopening channel” for months. The progress just stopped and they are locked but the channel actually never opened.

Probably just need to rescan your wallet, it should cancel after two weeks

Sorry to be so blunt, but is this something the LN App on umbrel offers? I didn'T see this command.

Not a programmer, just a normal guy 🫑

I "lost" a lot of sats on forced closures. Pretty sure that's not what you're referring to though.
