Yes, you are right. I've been only working on my laptop and been too much online in the last few weeks. I've also noticed that I need time to find my standpoint, I actually don’t have a opinion on everything that's happening in techbuiz and news. I'm missing in-depth discussions on AI topics, for example. Let's see what's being discussed here.
Today I went to a wheelchair basketball game of a very talented comedian buddy, who has been in his rollchair since he was a child.
I've rarely seen anything more elegant than this man, who was practically one with his transport technology and scored one goal after another. Impressive and something to muse over.
Had to rest with this a moment. That’s a nice example and image of your friend—and others—in the merging of body, craft (in two senses) and imagination for his transformed potential and grace 💜

Some candid associations that came up, it makes me think about all our technological prosthetics in a more human sense. How I feel extended in craft and medium, how they unlock interactive and time based mediums and process. Do I dream through them? New tech prosthetics have created new [day] dreams for me, it’s why I use them after all; maybe night dreams too? I’m not as sure about that, but maybe in some archetypal way
On cue, in a rudimentary way nostr was part of my dream last night, lol. I was struggling to crop a photo on my device to add to a note. The photo was of an intriguing staircase from the interior of a middle eastern restaurant where I was staying as a guest with family friends. The finished interior and occupants would only appear by some kind of esoteric revealing technique or spell.

Which in-depth AI topics are you missing?
..not just topics, I figured, but how we process information. Everybody has questions beside some specs, I got lots of questions, but who to ask ? I got a glimpse now… but if you search for AI and studies, you will find more sales arguments than empirical studies. I am thinking about what AI was built for..💰
If feel we should have honest discussions with free sociologists, psychologists and spiritual people. Maybe AI topics could be something for the next Nostr Conference.
Yes most #ai discussions have been technical economical and political.
I think it’s overrated for what it is now and concerns are about what it means for humanity in the future. But at end of day it’s a tool. It will eliminate jobs and further confuse and divide us further. I’m excited about ai open source development that have blown up every where.
Yes, I agree with you in principle. Sometimes I have to laugh when I try out an AI chat. In the end, I write my text contextually much more clearly when I don't use AI.
The "AI Act", a European regulation, discusses whether AI systems in critical infrastructures should be viewed as high-risk systems. Hmm. Funneling it in everywhere and discussing it afterwards ☺️
What is clear is that our way of thinking will change quickly. I am sure that I too will use AI for monotonous jobs, I hate nothing more than monotony. And of course, everything is better in open source. But we act as if we have the growth of AI under control.
This is not about a few thousand jobs being lost, but about the Mariana Trench between people, about new standards of human efficiency that are becoming tough. The growing inequality is determined by what people do instead of a monotonous job that AI is now taking over.
