Fun little zap story... I offer sats as change for cash purchases at my shop. The first person I had accept that offer had to be introduced to lightning. I got him set up with his wallet & shared thw address here, back when that was a common thing, probably over a year ago. Nostr donated like 40k sats to him. He's recently started coming back & buying lattes with his now much more valuable sats & that's what I'm zapping with right now 😊

The thing I never expected & love most about nostr is how much positive offline impact its brought into my life, from #proofofwalk to #cilantrostr (i made chimichurri that week 😂) and now circular sats looping out & back in 💜

Yeah convince it too strong a word. It's goes like this blah blah censorship/money issues. really? Perhaps you should try nostr/Bitcoin?....And that's the end of the conversation 😂
I've failed miserably so far on trying to recruit irl people to nostr. Most cases are pretty understandable as to why. I do pretty ok with bitcoin though. More successes than failures, I think.
Yeah definitely had more success with Bitcoin than nostr. I now suggest fountain and hope they fall into the rabbit hole that way. When someone has no idea what nostr is I think it just looks to them like a drunk spelling mistake which is why I get no questions back 😆
