I had to open a new checking account with a Bank I've been banking w/for over 10 years and have multiple other accounts with.
The questions I had to answer made me feel like I've been wrongly arrested at the town square in front of all my neighbors, to later be released, bc they had the wrong guy.

There was the basics, like what is this account for? Response: pay my bills.
But the list of intrusive questions was pretty long. I'm going to circle back later, bro man got some work to do.

Same questions for sending money.
How much do you expect to be conducting in wire transfers? Domestically or internationally?
How much in $$ x-actions do you expect to be conducting monthly?
What amount do you expect your average actions to be?
Basically, a lot of the questions around how much movement of money I expect.
I'm surprised they didn't ask me any questions about Bitcoin or crypto. But I suspect those days are coming.

I definitely self centered. Imagine you have 10 things on your to do list for the day and this is one that you thought would take 5 minutes.
Isht took 3 phone calls and a visit to the local office. The reps were all polite. And I know it's not their fault. But jeez laweeze.
3 days bc I couldn't transfer funds between my own accounts until they had a signature card. I had set it up over the phone.
