Bartending Hack- Batch Drinks: When creating a drink menu, take a few of the cocktails and measure to batch the nonperishable spirits. Don't include any juices or bitters in your batches, but add those per drink. Lets say your cocktail is The Last Word, which is equal parts (3/4 oz each) gin, green chartreuse, maraschino liqueur, and fresh squeezed lime juice. By batching the gin, chartreuse, and maraschino together, you will only need to pour two things instead of 4- 2.25 oz of the batch, and 3/4 oz of lime juice. This will speed up the process. Note-- when using bitters or juices, the taste is intensified in batches and doesn't produce the same consistent flavor by following the recipe of a single cocktail. While you could batch those to taste and adjust accordingly, I suggest simply keeping bitters and juices separate and adding per drink made. #bartender #barhacks #nostrpleb
