Thank you for the explanation, I didn't get the interpretation of the thrill of lovers and novelty until you mentioned it. I interpreted it like a "power" game, you get something that you are not supposed to have, that make more sense if you are talking about the thrill of the forbidden as you said.

I'm not too familiar with Guy, I read the Horla some years ago and that's it.
