Ah k you can get past the IV part if you try! The mind is stronger than the body, you don't want to think about the needle or anything if possible. If the nurse/doctor giving the iv is really friendly and calm and so is the hospital, that can work out good.

but yeah hospitals aren't exactly known for inducing calm in patients, headphones A+++

Meh your incisions don't really mean anything... puzzles is gonna be there when you wake up and that physical scars heal quick, emotional way longer.

YOU'LL BE RIGHT MATE!!!!! 🫂

I just want to get it OVER WITH, you know? The anticipation is torture

Yup.. what's the countdown now? You got it in days or hours now?

Another solution that works is to have wireless headphones on the entire time you're in the hospital. Create your own soundtrack to the hospital with upbeat tunes. Try not to aim for Nine Inch Nails and Reznor's depressing shit 🤣. Industrial music = nono

Gonna try and be all Zen and Buddhist here... It's cheesy but it works!! Jumping on CC
