What's the maximum size limit for the mempool on your node?

2 GB

1GB, thinking about increasing if mempool stays near there as I have the resources.

Default 300MB

Mine is currently set to 1GB. I had just increased it from 512MB last week.

Default + ordisrespector

500mb

Default

May I know what differences will it cause by increasing it?

Why would you increase it? The goal was to stay small enaugh for small node to exist and protect the ledger by being fully decentralized. Making it bigger put the network in danger of centralisation

I think you're conflating block size and the mempool limit

Maybe 🤔

Block size is a consensus rule and mempool limit is a user/node settings

the latter is just how many unconfirmed transactions you allow on your node before you start dropping the cheapest ones

Thank you i feel more at ease. I can increase my mempool at what level? Any suggestions?

I run pi4 on a Ethernet network connected to a fiberoptic router. Bottle nec would be the pi
