Random thoughts that come to my head and upset me…

People shouldn’t have to crowdfund to have access to basic things like healthcare.

Having a baby with a heart problem shouldn’t ruin the future of a young couple starting a family.

Wealth is so poorly distributed and we are so used to it that some think the way insurance works is actually correct.

Fiat decay

Fiat bloat and corruption has driven up the costs to levels it should never be at. That being said, it is a service and a contract. Someone will have to pay a market rate for it. There is no way around that.

But the cost it has right now is beyond… I am not saying healthcare personnel shouldn’t be paid for what they do, they absolutely should and most of the times they don’t get paid enough. But the way that big pharma and insurance are set up is murderous

There is no doubt it is overpriced and filled with perverse incentives. I don’t know what the real market pricing should be, but I think that no matter what, some people won’t be able to afford it without charity.

I could be wrong though. And hopefully with deflationary money, we can help solve that problem too.

I think if we eliminate the fact that is profit driven by big pharma and giving it a community approach would give more opportunities and chances for people to pay for the services

I agree. It will definitely become much more affordable. The centralized insurance agencies are a huge part of the problem too.

Who's wealth though?

What do you mean?

You say wealth is poorly distributed, mine? Yours? Theirs? Asking for a friend.

Wealth in general, the distribution includes all of us. Is not ok that a small percentage of the population hold most of the wealth and the system is created to keep them wealthy. Inflation on a whole is just another way to tax people and it hurts the people who hold the least amount of wealth the most.

I get what you're on about; but to say wealth should be distributed differently implies the presence of a "Distributor." Currently that distributor is the State, using the incentive mechanism.

The problem isn't the wealth or the wealthy; it's the State and the incentives.

Be careful suggesting the fruit of another man's labor might be better "distributed" lest the Distributor eventually come for you.

I'm not coming at you, I believe the path to a better world is thru honest discourse. I do appreciate your train of thought.

I don’t think you are 😅 I am seriously wondering what do you mean 😂

Preach

I agree with almost everything you say, and the cost of having a family, getting care, or getting protection against a catastrophic event is an evil limitation on human freedom.

One quibble: wealth is not distributed, it is created.

Either via fiat printing games or creating/doing something that people find value in and give $ to you voluntarily.

Poor distribution implies a big pool of money exists and we just need a better distributor, which is what every politician promises…after they take your money via taxation to create the big pool. See how that works?

It’s like your neighbor getting applauded after he broke into your house and gave away all the food in your fridge.

Poor distribution isn’t the problem, theft is!

The good news is that in the U.S. when you create value by owning a business, the options for avoiding the taking increase dramatically.
