Of course! It's the simplest. Just plain rice, with a fried egg mixed with chopped onions and chillies. In the bowl, its a kind of lentil, Moong Daal, in Bangla. The typical lentil recipe with no onions/garlic. And I just charred a dried chili and mixed it with chopped onions as you can see at the corner of the plate. It adds a nice layer of smokey flavour that goes so well with everything else!

Sorry for the late reply I somehow missed your notification! 🤦🏾‍♀️

Let me leave here the lentil recipe for you in case you wanna try out. I really like it. And this is where I'd learnt it from! nostr:npub19jctn3qfcc8d2nmmhecpvclgdrazalcjddeunhfsy2qyh33j7zdsuf5nfh

And thank you! It tasted delicious too! 🤗💜

Thank you Athoi.

Looks healthy. Delicious.

Is this Basmati? I think like Tilda the best.

Do you think about the tastes in the preparation of a meal?

Sweet. Sour. Salty. Bitter. Pungent. Astringent.

In Ayurveda, it's suggested to incorporate each.

I don’t think its Basmati! I actually don’t know what kind of rice ot was!

And about the taste, I don’t think I always consciously think about it, but yes, I make sure I get various tastes, various flavours, colors, various textures and enough protein and fiber and necessary carbs in my diet. Once you practice it for a while, you don’t even always have to think about it consciously, I think.

I like variety in tastes. Even bitter. Your might know about Shukto, one kind of veg preparation and a meal starter that's actually bitter in taste. I also consume lots of bitter gourds. The only taste less preferable to me is sour so I tend to avoid it, yet it almost regularly makes a part in my diet through sour-yogurt!

I like a little tamarind. It's an interesting, sour taste. My favorite taste is sweet.
