The reality is that parents are not doing their job. And they’re bringing up a generation of parents who don’t know how to do the job. Their only reference is their parents who were bad examples. Doesn’t the state need to step in to break the cycle? At least for 1 generation.

Possibly. But perhaps the mechanism isn't right. Don't know. I'd prefer to have parents willingly not give kids social media rather than govt banning personally. If not we will just see them create accounts for them just to shut them up.
