Well, she was giving me a hard time because I said her original still life didn’t look finished enough and it wasn’t her best portfolio piece. She didn’t want to redo it, so I grabbed a few pencils and some paper and started drawing while she looked on with surprise. I realized she hadn’t seen me draw anything in years. Needless to say, she started over.

A house full of talent 🤩👌🏼 art is life from an honest perspective
So on point & true. Art gives a room to express oneself and we often understand things better after we express/live them. It’s like a transcription for the subconscious mind and it’s a gift to have such a talent n to be able to practice it 🤍
I sent her that the other day to cheer her up because she was worried she wouldn’t get into the school she wanted. The art high schools here are very competitive, but I knew she was talented enough to get in. She’s been making art her whole life.
She drew this picture of Ariel the mermaid when she was 6!
