The value of things like Twitter and Damus are invaluable from a networking standpoint and things like self-education on specific topics.
But man. I’ve heard from…15? 20? Different friends that, for the first time in their life, can’t focus anymore. Straight up. They can’t sit down and pound out some focused work for more than 10 minutes, can’t just watch a movie, play a game, or read a book.
I feel like our phones have helped us become smarter, but also, completely and totally damaged our minds, too. I don’t think everyone randomly has severe ADD now. I just think our minds weren’t ever created to take in this much information that demands our attention, constantly.
