On my Facebook photography page, I started blocking religious terms. It automatically hides comments that include religion. The author and their friends can see the comment, but nobody else can. It has eliminated contentious threads.

There are so many people who comment of other people's photos stuff like: God is the best artist, god's creation, god's paintbrush, and on and on.

I'm not religious (although I have a BA in Religion) so I find it alien that people comment that way on photos.

interesting, i can see why you would do that. i will say, that’s just how many Christians are, i’m surprised you find it alien.

#[0] it isn't just Christians. It's mainly Christians, Muslims and pagans, although pagans tend to use different terms.

It's alien because I don't see religion in everything that I look at. I don't see a god in the landscape. Sometimes, if I'm thinking hard I see chaos and disunity and random luck, but most of the time I see a rock, water, sky, or when I'm photographing I see shapes, lines, patterns, texture and colors.
