Is there a way to check how many of your Mastodon followers are still active on the platform?

Yesterday, I made this ink and watercolor sketch of Diagonal Street and Main in Galena, IL.

It's always exciting to see a course offering fill quickly. My Hand Drawn Maps: Exploring Your Relationship with the Land course opened for registration on the 3rd. There are just four spaces left as of this morning. I'm excited.

It's part of the North House Folk School's Winterers Gathering (in November). Grand Marais, MN

The image is one of the watercolor maps that I've made. Hot press watercolor paper.

On this evening's bike ride, a big momma bear lumbered across the road in front of me. Her cub skipped across the road after her. After reaching the other side, the cub stayed close to the road and watched me.

When I got about 20 feet or so away, I said, "Hey, bear." Then the cub ran into the woods. I didn't see where momma had disappeared to.

It was one of those awe moments.

There's a mountain lion in our northern Minnesota neighborhood. A neighbor saw it the other day while he was mowing. If there's one animal that I'd rather not have in the neighborhood, it's a mountain lion.

#[0] it isn't just Christians. It's mainly Christians, Muslims and pagans, although pagans tend to use different terms.

It's alien because I don't see religion in everything that I look at. I don't see a god in the landscape. Sometimes, if I'm thinking hard I see chaos and disunity and random luck, but most of the time I see a rock, water, sky, or when I'm photographing I see shapes, lines, patterns, texture and colors.

On my Facebook photography page, I started blocking religious terms. It automatically hides comments that include religion. The author and their friends can see the comment, but nobody else can. It has eliminated contentious threads.

There are so many people who comment of other people's photos stuff like: God is the best artist, god's creation, god's paintbrush, and on and on.

I'm not religious (although I have a BA in Religion) so I find it alien that people comment that way on photos.
