I believe we need a suite of productivity apps built on top of Nostr.

Nostr already have the Nostr 'Quick Notes' extension (improving), and Nostr calendar and to-do list apps are coming in a few days.

After that, we will need collaboration tools for teams. I already have something in mind.

I agree and would be Gabe to build a slack alternative on nostr. DM is open.

And a translation weblate like alternative

What about a nostr crime prevention app, or some kind of safety "device" that records or writes fast messages when someone is in danger.

Where’s the Nostr calendar at? I’d love to try that

Nice! Does that use NIP-52?

Yup it’s at the bottom of the original post’s screenshot

Nice! Any chance you can tell me which relays the event get published to?

Sure, right now they're hardcoded to wss://nos.lol, wss://nostr-pub.wellorder.net, and wss://relay.nostr.band. I'll update the relays though, since at least one of those is no longer in commission.

Totally makes sense.

If you were gonna try to sense the user’s preferred relays would you pull from the user’s latest kind 3 event? Kind 10002? Or some other way?

Definitely kind 10002

Cool cool. I’m working on relay.guide to help people find and save relays so they can publish kind 10002 events for apps like yours!

Nice! 10002 is in the spec, but you should probably read kind 3s since some old clients don't support 10002 yet

That’s the plan! Just need a free weekend 😂

I must have missed Quick Notes. What's that?

It's very early right now, currently it supports Android, PC, Mac and Linux. I will also create the iOS version tomorrow and add some more features.

I will test this on iOS 17 for you when you roll it out. ❤️

It's going to be an everything app, like wechat.

No, it will be a lightweight skeleton. You can attach and detach any Nostr WebApp or extension.

I'm starting to think more about integrations with existing software rather than building from scratch.

Nostr is applicable to such a vast array of usecases that we simply cannot rebuild everything on top of it (or build it well enough to compete with other products in the market)
