Its custodial, so I've never used it, just not sure why #[4] posted like it never worked on android before?

WoS is great if you have no LN node running. It's cheap & easy to send Bitcoin from cold storage & then move from WoS to a noncustodial mobile wallet via LN

Unlike muun & many other wallets WoS is always a LN balance, so there is no confusion with what's available to spend via LN & an on-chain balance that requires channels to be opened.

Without Google Play Services it crashed. Now it doesnt. The newest version removed that dependency in order to send/receive sats.

I installed play services & removed all permissions (it won't even update) and WoS has worked fine. Chatted with the developer & he said that play services from the graphene "apps" list is completely neutered & no longer a security concern

Thats correct and anyone who wants to know more can check out https://grapheneos.org/usage#sandboxed-google-play

Easy to add to grapheneOS if you need it for future apps. Google heavily incentivise devs to include play services, it it blows.

It still seems to work with all play service permissions denied
