my mother was always a fan of twin tub top loaders, wash in one, spin in the other. dumb as a toaster.

oh yeah, btw, all these modern ones. all of them are spinning horizontally which means as soon as those seals fuck out you are done.
the old top loaders, didn't depend on that. hell, the lid was made out of steel.
i'd guess that if you can find a handy auto electrician they can respin the motor for you and all that shit and good as new
