I know I can extend the season, I just try to work within my animal's natural biological pathways. If I have excess production in spring and summer, and the means to prolong the harvest, I prefer that route to biohacking their biology.

Not that I wouldn't if needed, just preference. And I have 3-4x as many eggs produced now vs what I need.

We’ve been at the farm now for a decade. I spent a lot of time fighting against the natural cycles at first but this is a much better path! Seasonal alignment is a blessing for rediscovery (“strawberries are back!”) and reset.

Thank you. These eggs are for our production, not business. I might think differently if they were. Right now, they're glorified pets, not employees. We'll see if I change my mind once I start making a business out of it.
