Most younger people for example use TikTok over Facebook nowadays. Because it's giving them more value (not arguing if that's objectively the case). Nostr gives censorship resistance, but most people will not care about that aspect (unless they are hit themselves by censorship). What they care about is better experience, content etc. I feel most popular clients provide same, almost same or in some terms a better experience than Twitter by now.

I think more large accounts exclusively moving here will be the ultimate reason for people to move. We've seen this in waves with Jack and Snowden. I could imagine it to happen sooner or later, but it's not sure. Zaps (v4v) are a nice incentive, but I wonder if there's more we can do.

True.

If you want the mainstream you need to offer them what they usually want:

A simple, fast opening and stable app with no design flaws (like e. g. not-working search-function, not showing user images, not available relays…) at all.

And most importantly:

Gifs and stickers

Does it really matter though? I mean I’ve been trying to orange pill friends forever but don’t feel the need to purple pill at all. I like Nostr weird.
