Tell me more about the lightning network???? Because on the surface, with just a few Google clicks, it's looking pretty fucking shitcoiny.

I was heavily into bitcoin and hundreds of "studying bitcoin hours" in before I discovered nostr, in fact, it was due to all the studying that I ended up here.... NOSTR is the only reason I started using lightning, and to be honest, I haven't done my own research.

Why dive deeper when it's looking like a polished turd?

Sorry, not sorry.

Today, seeing a fellow nostrich suffer (what could be considered by a lot of people from all types of financial backgrounds) a massive loss of bitcoin in today's and future value. I find myself thinking hard on why I'm here.

Bitcoin only.

Bitcoin only.

Bitcoin only.

I'm a firm believer that everyone is trying to take your bitcoin.

Everyone.

Bitcoin-only, everything else is noise and gambling.

Sadly, though I had high hopes, lightning isn't the savior some tout it to be.

Still a cool project, but it certainly is not Bitcoin. Fuck.

I find these screenshots depressing.

Do you consider a conjoin to "be Bitcoin"?

Bitcoin isn't KYC, so coinjoin is just a dialogue around privacy and personal attacks.

I get that, the point I was making is that lightning at it's core is based on agreed upon 2 party 2-of-2 multisigs chain transactions. So if you put your coins in a coinjoin, now that they are in a multiparty multisig pot of swirling utxos, then do they cease to be Bitcoin?

There’s plenty of "bitcoin shitcoins" at this point trying to become the dominant "L2"

Lightning

Liquid

Stacks…

Much less the "L3" protocols being built….

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

from a purely technical perspective lightning is bitcoin.
