Yes, you have to make sure that your follows only follow Approved Npubs, otherwise, you see the unapproved ones in your own feed.

And your follows need to Follow Back, otherwise they're considered rude because they don't contribute to your WoT (even if they regularly interact with you and boost/quote your stuff).

And npubs with no follows are increasingly being blocked, whereas spammers follow everyone back, so client devs give new npubs auto-follows, to keep new arrivals from getting auto-blocked and nagged and gossipped-about. So, now, the biggest npubs have bloated follower counts, full of spam and lurkers, and dead keys.

And npubs try to follow as many npubs as they can, like Good Little Bunnies, even though they never interact with 99.99% of them, whereas my npubs get blocked for being antisocial. Even though I'm easily the most-interactive and engaging npub on here, and have been for nearly 2 years.

Whole thing is fucked up and bullshit.

Speaking of which, GM Europe and Africa, and welcome to Summer Time.

i use a couple of wot relays, but i'm terribly unpopular and don't pay attention to followers and such.

how do i know if i've been banned from a relay..?

You can only tell, if you are allowed to write to a relay, not whether you have been banned. Relays only offer positive-confirmation.

thanks~!

not all clients show whether i'm reading or writing or both...

You're on theforest, so everyone sees you.

Seriously doubting if we'll even have Follow-lists :seenoevil:

Alexandria had follows and then removed them because removing them caused no loss in information.

There's no Follow button in :Zapchat: Zapchat neither. It's all just "+ Add" for letting users add labels. "Following" still is one of those Labels but I think we might just convert your Following List to Relationship Statuses, to make it actual Labels.

Clean.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE support relationship status and the petname setting (nip-81, not nip-32)

that's the plan!

Thank goodness.
