The Amethyst onboarding process is not wife friendly, but I learned a lot and now recognize every pain point for brand new users. 💜 😂

So much to do in onboarding..
She was very, very confused about several things that work on other platforms, such as long pressing on profile or banner to change it, that didn't work and not knowing why she couldn't upload those things in profile settings, or even finding profile settings. She was close to just calling it quits, but pushed through because she knew I wanted to watch 😉

She sounds like everybody I know 😉 First impressions last unfortunately. Would be great if you could send a URL to people like Signal "nostr is awesome blah" they click on the URL and it makes an account with a copy of your follow list. A temporary random name and maybe even 1 day usage of your relays? So this isn't abused it has to be an invite from someone who's already paying ofc.
Iris.to allows you to own iris.to/username , which is the first part.
Those pain points are essential to owning your identity. An easier way to generate the nostr key it to use the key that your client suggests and then change a bunch of the characters.
