Why are you expecting people to work in their free time while not getting paid? The 9-5ers are doing the right thing. Fuck being on call 24-7.
Instead of bitching at them for it, take their lead and take some time off. Go fishing, hang out w family/friends. Work will bw there wjem you get back.

I thought you were complaining about them not replying on holidays and weekends. But it's possible that they took vacation off. People often do that on short holiday weeks to get a full week off while spending only a few vacation days.
Either way, just call them. If they are in office they should pick up.
