How did you determine you were "overdoing it"?

Taking nothing beforehand, benchmarking health metrics, taking measured amounts, feeling sick when I wasn't, measuring health metrics during that time, coming off of it, feeling better. My initial attempt, was sourcing the "highest quality" minerals. Some of the doeses were 10,000 % of daily value. So then I started down the how does one measure what minerals we are deficient in and just take the necessary amount as opposed to "overdoing it". Didn't know if you had a magic bullet for assessing/measuring your mineral deficiency. Blood work seems to be a way to go about finding out, maybe, but I haven't done that yet.
