The difference is that a large portion of the 99% are falling for socialist politicians whose agenda made this madness possible. The Federal Reserve System, created in 1913, is in fact such a national bank, politically manipulating interest rates and possessing a monopoly on legal counterfeiting of currency in the United States. Isn’t this what Marx had in mind? Many Americans still believe that the US is far from being a socialist nation.
