Sarah said easy, just buy soap from her. She concurred it is probably the ratio. She said type of fat can make a difference too. She said look for an online soap calculator that has lye type, fat type, and additives like essential oils.

Thanks for asking her though. Another person replied with a calculator, and according to that I had a little less lye and a bit more water than was optimal, so I guess I got soft soap that's taking a long time to dry out. I took them out of the molds today, and the bottom halves solidified while the tops are still soft. I'll let them sit around for another two weeks and see what happens.
