So letβs say that I bought my new phone in January & itβs not yet paid forβ¦ and I tend to be the kind of person who holds a phone for 5 years or so.
What are my options? I donβt have a desktop or laptop. I am here only for the zaps (thought they were dumb but low & behold I love that shit). Can I log into a website & access through a browser (on my evil Apple device)? Am I outta luck until I upgrade working off just likes & not zapping anyone else even?
Is fountain next?
You can definitely log into a web client like Snort and it will function just fine, though sometimes things get a bit slow. I just switch to Iris or Primal when Snort gets buggy. I believe apple has the nostore extension, that let's you sign in with pasting your keys on webclients. I've heard good things.
And that's a good question I hope they don't go after Fountain, but I can't see why zaps would be paying for digital content (they aren't) and streaming sats on Fountain wouldn't be (they are). Only time will tell.
But if they nuke Fountain from Apple, you can always use Podverse via browser. It's much harder to stop web apps, and all Apple is doing is shooting itself in the foot.

Snort is a pretty feature packed webclients for Nostr. The layout will be different, of course, so it takes some getting used to. But, it's solid.

It's a website! You just literally go to Snort.social and login with your private key. Even better would be to get nostore which is an apple app or browser extension(not an apple user, so I've heard good things but I am no help on that part) to store your private key so you can sign into any Nostr site without needing to paste your nsec. But I've used it countless times without issue. Works great on both mobile and desktop.
