Discussion
I'm only in my third year and, to be honest, I hadn't thought about these things much, until Saylor discussed it on WBD.
I have yet to hear a good argument against the points he made. Most of the push back is emotionally based, without much substance.
OPs are the first to trash Ethereum for their "move fast and break things" mindset. Yet, here they are trying to rationalise why "move carefully and build things right" is an elitist mindset...
Think of all the poor kids in Africa that won’t be able to transact on layer 1! Are you racist?!
Having access to layer 1 will be a privilege, no question. But the good news is, under a Bitcoin standard, anyone can earn or lose that privilege, based on their actions.
Bitcoin is a proof of work system. There is no equality of outcome, but there is equal opportunity.
We might be called racist, but at least we're not commies.
