Can anyone recommend a decent Japanese OSS LLM model (on hugging face etc)?

This one was weird (used on gpt4all)

i recommend giving it a try even if it is not one of the officially supported languages.

well, it is not exactly OSS, but it's self-hostable and the weights are widely available. so hopefully that's good enough for you.

I’ll look for one that talks Japanese. There was only 3 last time I looked. (At least, on hugging face)

I’m quite a noob in terms of terminology and LLM theory in general. Not my field as an engineer (yet)
