I was just wondering. If essentially free #energy arrives before all the #Bitcoin is mined we could have a very interesting situation indeed.
From what I know there has to be an energy cost for #pow to work at all.
Can I #asknostr what the other #nostritches think?
This hurts my brain a bit. If you take the cost of energy consumption out, the miners could still do the pow but the search to find the cheapest energy source wouldn’t exist. The incentive to mine would still be for rewards and mining would need to exist for the chain to live on. The other properties of money which bitcoin meets should stay unaffected right? 🤯
