I’m a nuclear engineer. Sometimes the best ideas come from contractors who have real world experience. We are all plebs including the devs.

Because sometimes you have to look outside your fucking box. Well said.

Thanks for saying this! Src: power sector and not many are as open minded as they should be, or as smart as outsiders would think

that you are. yes.

yeah but you're not encorporating the opinions of twitter users into your engineering decisions. lets be honest.

A good idea is a good idea. If I was having a discussion on twitter about it I wouldn’t write off the idea because of the forum. My biggest turn off from bitcoiners is the ego many carry, that getting into bitcoin made them a genius in all aspects. Just because someone is a dev doesn’t mean they actually understand all aspects.

I no longer believe you are an engineer if you actually believe this. i don’t think i’ve ever seen a good idea from twitter, it only happens via actual contributions

Yeah it’s like saying “but what if”

What if some rando had a good idea… it happens I guess.

Typically the good ideas come from ACTUALLY KNOWLEDGEABLE PEOPLE

I see you fit into that group. I’m not here to boost my ego or prove myself. I’ll return to shit posting now.

Contractors with firsthand experience are not “plebs”. They are experienced professionals with expertise in the topic. This is silly.

The correct comparison would be a nuclear engineer getting advice on power plant operation from a musician.

Not it wouldn’t. It would actually be egoistical engineer who doesn’t consult his operators or maintenance tech before a system design. Which inevitably will lead to the engineer getting shit canned.
