Okay bone broth folks, how do I make it taste palatable. I made the mistake of thinking that chicken broth, chicken stock, and bone broth, were bascially the same thing. Took two sips of plain bone broth and couldn't finish it. What do you do to make it not taste awful?

Mix it with a more flavorful broth? Put a bullion cube in it? Add whiskey? 🤷🏼‍♂️

Yeah I think I might try a 50/50 split of regular chicken broth to bone broth and see how that goes.

Hadn’t consider whiskey. Lol

First question, did you buy the bone broth or did you make it?

Bought it.

Hmm what brand?

I didn't have a problem with the taste with this brand:

But I didn't like some chicken broth (not bone broth), so my guess is that it depends on what else they had in the making of the bone broth you had. Not necessarily because it's bone broth vs broth.

Also making them is not that hard. So much cheaper as well.

I think it’s just the Target brand.

Ahhh

Yea don't do that

Lol

Yeah, live and learn.

It was likely just straight up water and salt cooked with bones then. I’d suggest making yourself some, there’s all kinds of recipes floating around. Throw some carrots, onions and such in the crock pot. Roast your bones and toss them in. Water enough to cover everything, splash of vinegar and some salt, let it cook over night or so.

Bookmarked. Thanks!

Maybe try adding some seasonings. Been a while since i made any.

Salt to taste and pepper is all I do.
