I didn't like Alby either, but that was for a recent NWC test. My primary is CLN with btcpay for the ln address. This is all also start 9 (plus a $3/month vps for clear net exposure).

See this is the kind of thing I want to learn because I would like to run some fat channels and really participate in the network, but I have to learn about VPS and Clearnet, words ive seen hundreds of times and never investigated. I use Start9 now, I bought a device from them, but Im having issues with it restarting anyway.. I appreciate it if there are links y ou want to share for learning Ill take a look. ill try to zap you now but It hink my shit is broken at the moment
The start9 part is mostly single button installs and creating a lightning channel or two (I only have one with boltz).
The clearnet part is more involved (https://docs.btcpayserver.org/Deployment/ReverseProxyToTor/) but if you want temporary access to see if you like it I can give it to you through mine easily.
