How bad is it REALLY to load your every day carry phone wallet seed into sparrow so I can make it easier to sign from desktop for smaller amounts?

Use BlueWallet on your phone for that?

Yes I do.

Maybe I don't understand your OP but bluewallet is as convenient as it gets?

Using sparrow to gen the send QR?

I was considering just making my iPhone blue wallet a hot wallet by loading seed phrase into sparrow desktop. I know this isn’t considered a best practice but was thinking about doing it just with my phone wallet that I only keep a low balance on. But I’m not sure there’s enough of a reason to need to do it since I always have my phone on me anyways, so why introduce my keys to another computer

Blue wallet is so convenient using a HWW that handles QR codes that there's almost no need for a hot wallet outside of traveling maybe.

Block stream Jade can be the tool for this job.

I can also see someone managing a couple spend wallets like this from a seedsigner with seedQRs to aid in the UX of managing a couple spend accounts.

But your Wallet on Bluewallet is already hot.

You can import your xpub and use Bluewallet to sign transactions you create on sparrow.

I have already created a watch only wallet in sparrow by importing the xpub. Did not realize I could create transaction and sign them with blue wallet on my phone though

I have never tried it. But I know it’s available as a feature.

What’s the risk?
