Yet, it's still impressive, and OpenAI's voice AI will probably improve very rapidly

Ah. I only tested English and it was impressive. Probably selected for quality but still … if that’s the baseline, imagine some years later
You're totally right. I'm in no doubt that it will be unrecognizable whether some audio file was AI generated or not very soon.
We have a lot of educating in front of us, especially with regard to all not so tech savvy plebs...!
Dutch is also very good, tested in ChatGPT generating text that included human like pauses and add some ah’s and uhm’s makes it kinda uncanny
