SO BIG 👀 The tree is much older than 1850 when they started to build around it. These banyan trees are amazing treasures and it is so nice to see that they get respect they deserve.

This place is called the Six Arts Cultural Center focused on traditional arts such as tea ceremony and calligraphy along with martial arts. There's a huge building that serves as an active kendo (sword) training studio and there's an archery range in the back.

We saw a small kendo class going on while we were walking around. So cool to hear them practicing. I really want to try the archery. Maybe next time!
