The whole idea of the community editing other people’s note is ridiculous.
On Nostr I understood that if you want to impose your opinion you have to break things because otherwise nobody listens to you, not even if you are the creator of Nostr.
Fiatjaf will continue like this as long as Vitor keeps editing the notes and there is no way to stop him.
I just want to opt-out of edits
Vitor censors amethyst users too
Amethyst has some heuristics to mute certain pubkeys and there are false positives some times, not sure if I'd call that censorship

I'd prefer showing edits be the default since it's really only fiatjaf abusing edits to make a point... Spelling errors fuck up my feed and people's intended message and 99% of edits are for fixing them.

I just mean that I prefer to see posts that are edited for clarity because sometimes spelling errors can be very complete in some contexts do understand the what the oo was actually trying to say. Not a huge issue, just being a bit cheeky with my verbage
One client can not suited all the people. If Amethyst devs decided to ditch edits, edit fans will start yelling.
You have two options. Mute Fiatjaf or find another client for the time being. Maybe someday #Amethyst devs decide to give us settings to toggle which kinds we allow.
But using nostr in this early days with one client is not a way to go.
There are other good android client around and we should all experiment 👍🏼
Just mute him. When Fiatjaf decides to stop being an asshat unmute him.
