For nostr to kick off. We need to rethink the nostr strategy.

To break the chicken and the egg situation of who comes first, the content creators or the readers, we need to all take one step back.

We don’t need the Twitter style of social media first. Where most of the people you see and interact with are nym strangers.

We need the Facebook style, close friends and family social media first. A place where people have a sense of safety and security.

Build those change clusters. Then let them know that they are part of a much bigger universe.

Thats of course when apps are more user friendly.

Thinking out load.

Scientifically speaking, the egg came first. πŸ˜‰

Another hurdle is the user friendliness of navigating the protocol and apps. I onboarded a normie friend and had to spend an hour dissecting what Nostr was and Damus and how to log in. Damus wasn't working well that day and he wasn't getting the point of the whole thing. The entire user experience needs to be more friendly to the average person

I am a nym responding to a nym, so it looks like there's at least two of that want this πŸ˜‰

I don't think #nostr is well-suited for the FB style, because the focus is censorship resistance, which is for public speech. FB style is for intimate speech among family/friends, i.e. privacy oriented.

We are not normal πŸ€ͺ

And I agree with your second point, but surely someone can build a space with that goal in mind.
