correct me if i’m wrong, but i see two different characteristics in bitcoin and monero. bitcoin has the potential to store value—given its scale, transaction volume, social consensus, and sec approval. monero, on the other hand, is strong on privacy. having a global currency that fulfills both goals seems a little utopian, don’t you think? (by “utopian” i mean “highly impossible in our lifetime”)
Discussion
By all means keep using bitcoin to increase your fortune because it will continue going up with all the government support behind.
Just don't forget to convert enough coin in your daily expenses or donations using Monero.
Otherwise there will come a time when crypto quitessentially became casino coins used only for speculation at binance or some other circus. There wil be little difference between calling it "crypto" or calling it forex to make a profit.
There was a reason why we adopted cryptocurrencies almost 20 years ago. Privacy and freedom are not negotiable for crypto users.
thanks, i appreciate it! i assume you’d agree with this picture i came across a while back:

Horrible, that applies and hurts too much. Please delete! 😅 😂
btw, nostr should be listed on post-blockchain. It is technology built to survive a zombie apocalypse. When the internet is gone, small places with the remaining local networks will still be using nostr apps fairly OK to send notes and other stuff to each other.
In true right it has replaced IPFS from that list.
