Scarce need to imagine far away, that kind of world happens today around the globe when you look with attention. A few eastern parts of Europe included in present.
Imagine yourself with geo-blocked internet access, unable to fetch stuff from aliexpress and troubles to even keep your phone charged with power.
Sneakernets become more useful than LoRa clouds.
That's a nice gadget, that's it.
You won't use it in the real world when something like that is really needed, because nobody else around you has one.
Plus: your cellphone will barely last one day even in standby mode and you will soon discover that coverage for that thing is god-awful with obstacles between both parties. We are talking about a reach of 30 meters, you might as well be shouting to your neighbors instead of using fancy devices.
Real-world useful tech are sneakernets.
Thumbs up whenever possible to use reticulum. The obstacle is that it still won't solve the issue. Underneath reticulum the same IP addresses are used, therefore easy to bring down the relays.
TOR or similar VPN are still needed to keep the node safe. These nodes are already acting as VPN that isolate messages from the user IP addresses but I'm still in doubt how to make them reasonably untraceable even if slower.
Lightning isn't bitcoin. You are basically using a shitcoin pegged to bitcoin. You might as well start understand that neither options is private.
Everyone can see your transactions, especially those who enforce taxes on you.
They wouldn't shut you down. The first step would be to outright buy you. Everyone has a price, so will you.
After that starts the route to "improve" Damus and for example introduce recommended relays to prevent "porngraphy" or some other excuse for our safety. You'll ever forget to improve critical features that users will beg you for years to implement.
Repeat this for other promissing clients, after a few years nostr will still be an exotic plaything whereas bluesky, mastodon and similar walled gardens will shine as champions for democracy, equality and human rights. Every now and then they'll take a hard stance at whatever government just to prove us they are on the right side of history.
Life is good.
Here is how I got #citrine to work as both a local relay and as an exposed onion service as outbox relay on my phone. Thanks to nostr:npub1m64hnkh6rs47fd9x6wk2zdtmdj4qkazt734d22d94ery9zzhne5qw9uaks for the idea!
Download Citrine and start as local relay
Open Orbot
Tap more
Tap onion hosted services
Tap user services
Tap +
Add any name to service
Add 4869 to both ports
Hit save
Exit from orbot
Restart orbot by closing out or force close
Restart orbot and connect orbot vpn again
Tap hosted services and copy new onion url
Open #Amethyst and go to relays
Add ws://yournewonionaddress. onion:4869 to outbox relay
Remove any other outbox relay
Hit save

Good stuff.
Then stop parroting jewish viewpoints.
There is a reason why we do crypto around here. It isn't because of "money goes up", that is a side-effect.
It is because you break from who controls the money and you regain financial freedom. Freedom requires privacy and fortunately you never had to pass by such situation but privacy is indeed a life-death matter for most of us folks around the globe.
Learn that.
Monero releases yearly 0,66% new coins on the market to assure everyone with a normal computer without graphic cards still has a fair chance to mine them. This ensures normal people maintaining the network get rewarded for mining. It isn't a big drama, it was a design decision to reward home-based miners.
You won't mine your fedcoin, you won't even bother to run a node. All of that is done at some chinese farm or whatever commercial groups approved by local governments. Your goal here is to see "store of value" and "money goes up" like any other jewish guy.
Monero is for the people.
Buy privately, stash millions privately, cash out anywhere, privately.
And it works just fine since years.
Drug cartels stopped using that fedcoin years ago, because it was hurting their business. Choice moved to Monero around 2017.
In 99% of the apps it will be a valid nsec when the decoded string is matched to begin with text "nsec". That is the confirmation you need to know that the decoding without salt went OK.
The vector of attack is to use a large dictionary of known user-typed password against an encrypted nsec without salt nor using the hex version.
Very good work. Was looking at the code, DART is very similar to Java and C++. I also see you are adding support to modern CPUs (Arm, etc) and OS. This will come handy to run from small computers.
Horrible, that applies and hurts too much. Please delete! 😅 😂
btw, nostr should be listed on post-blockchain. It is technology built to survive a zombie apocalypse. When the internet is gone, small places with the remaining local networks will still be using nostr apps fairly OK to send notes and other stuff to each other.
In true right it has replaced IPFS from that list.
Today for the first time in zap.store , a developer has published their own app 🤩
That is ngit by nostr:npub15qydau2hjma6ngxkl2cyar74wzyjshvl65za5k5rl69264ar2exs5cyejr (a CLI package)
We'll be reaching out to more CLI and Android devs to follow suit!

Zapstore is a package manager for the CLI too?
If so, fantastic. I'll write integration for it.
By all means keep using bitcoin to increase your fortune because it will continue going up with all the government support behind.
Just don't forget to convert enough coin in your daily expenses or donations using Monero.
Otherwise there will come a time when crypto quitessentially became casino coins used only for speculation at binance or some other circus. There wil be little difference between calling it "crypto" or calling it forex to make a profit.
There was a reason why we adopted cryptocurrencies almost 20 years ago. Privacy and freedom are not negotiable for crypto users.
It's OK if you like bitcoin, but please understand that it is a transparent coin without privacy. This means that any transactions and even your wallet contents are available for everyone to see and monitor.
This means for example when the Canada protest accepted donations that the State went straight after the donors.
Bitcoin is not used since years for any meaningful financial transaction where a State wants to repress. Everyone has moved to Monero years ago because it delivers that needed privacy.
Please learn the difference, your privacy and indepence very well depend on this.
Nostr is the replacement for Telegram
You need salt, otherwise dictionary attacks are easy.
On our app, nsec get encrypted through a user-defined password that is only stored in memory and never to disk.
In case of leak, you'd need the passwords to make decrypt them. It is also possible to add salt on them to make extra difficult to decrypt by bruteforcing, however, this kind of step isn't implemented yet.
Because it ain't private at all.
Up until recently the CIA was sponsoring the Signal Foundation by tens of milion USD each year: "Signal was originally founded with money from the US government-funded Open Technology Fund," -> https://www.wired.com/story/signal-operating-costs/
I won't even invite you to learn how their algorithm was first developed, it is even worse. Best thing you can do is really to keep your distance from fedapps.
