I was thinking about building an AI-powered journaling app for myself, but I think it would be geared less toward goals and more toward a deeper understanding of myself, my life, and what paths to forge in the years ahead.
I'm 53 and I've had an incredibly productive and fulfilling life already, with ten times more adventure to come. I spend more time pondering my life and the choices I have in front of me than actually doing work many days, which is a normal evolution. When you're young, you have no experience, money, skills, knowledge, or much else to offer except time and energy. So it makes sense to just go hard all the time.
But once you've acquired knowledge, wisdom, skills, experience, and money you have infinitely more choices available and more things to consider.
So at this stage of my life, I'm looking for an AI that knows all about me and my life, both physically and philosophically, so it can help me ponder my life and the choices that I have in front of me.
So I would journal more about my personality, preferences, experiences, and philosophies than I would be with goal-oriented things like clocking my morning run times or coding achievements.
I just thought I'd throw that at you in hopes it might trigger an idea that helps you build a better app.
I tried to send you some sats because this kind of reflection is very valuable for me.
I also had a similar idea to what you are describing, back when I had no idea what to do. (Still don't to some degree)
But in the end the answer might be more about our perspective? I found that just following my curiosity and "playing" are important parts of discovering what I want to do. AI can help give us ideas, but only we can feel what is fun and interesting to us maybe?
In the end I realised for myself that I needed to stop thinking so much and just start moving to get some answers
Having said all that, I still want the app you described π
And I think it is possible if you feed AI a linked mind garden with all your info
